This was a fantastic thing to see!! I'm going to start following meteor showers now!! The fireball appeared as a long, narrow rectangle about the size of a Volkswagen (my husband thought I was sleep talking when I said that!)

That is what caught my eye. I walked past the window and saw a bright flash and then witnessed the fireball descending into our treeline of the forest.
