Remarks On May 17 at approximately 1;11 AM I was outside in my backyard soaking in the hot tub, I was reading an article on my device when all of a sudden the whole yard lit up like it was the middle of the afternoon for a solid 3 seconds Startled and confused I quickly ran in the house woke up my husband in a perplexed way saying "I just saw lightning?" knowing it was not that though. Now maybe 4 seconds have past and I had mustered some courage to go out and close the tub when I opened the door I heard a loud boom type sound. I did not actually see a fireball as I was reading but when I learned about the Rangeley meteorite I knew I definitely experienced the effects of this phenomenon.
