Remarks I was facing the SW at my telescope and the flash behind me created my own shadow on the body of my scope. I had instantly assumed it was a firework but no sound. It was still in the sky by the time I turned round. I had not turned quickly as I was sitting. From my position the compass bearing of the event was 130 degrees.
