Walking outside and noticed a clear sky with more stars visible than usual and while looking East, saw a bright light (first thought of a plane, but it moved much too fast) traveling right to left (Southeast to Northwest) but fragmented and disappeared in the direction of the Hudson River towards Haverstraw or Stony Point and lasted just a few seconds.
