Reports Report 4104e (Event 4104-2016)

Observer
Name Marcus F
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks The time I saw the event is approximate as I was running on the coastal path at night, I first noticed an orange hue on the sea across the bay towards Cardigan Island, I looked up to see a large orange ball descending at a slight angle. I initially thought it a distress flare falling, but there had been no ascent, only a short descent. There was no noticeable noise, and as the 'fireball' ended, it brightened somewhat. I didn't notice a plume, but I had a head torch on which would have prevented me from having an unimpaired view (because of its glare) Amazing to see....whatever it was :)
