Remarks | I had just walked out on my back patio, and when I looked west across the lake I saw a bright green light with a white tail moving very quickly not far above the tree line (approx 60' high), it appeared to be about 1/2 mile away, and was traveling on an angle heading south to slightly southeast, then it disappeared behind trees (approx 20' high), the sighting lasted about 2 seconds. I would think it hit earth, but I did not hear any sounds or see any flashes. At first I thought it was a firework, then after processing what I saw and the fact it was around 5:30 to 5:45 am and no other fireworks were being lit, I realized I witnessed a very Close Encounter of a Meteor. What an Awesome Magical Moment Event!!!! |
