| Remarks | At first I thought it was a firework. I saw a bright white light with a short white tail moving rapidly across the sky above me, from WNW to ESE. The flame sputtered but did not separate. There was no sound. The flame got smaller, and disappeared about 3 seconds. I was surprised to see a fireball in daylight! The fireball left a white tail behind it, but there was no smoke. |

| Remarks | At first I thought the fireball was somebody shooting off a firework in my neighborhood. I was surprised to see it in the last light of day, with the sky still blue. The fireball was a bright white sputtering flame that traveled quickly across the sky, leaving a short white tail behind it. After about 3 seconds the sputtering flame faded out. There was no sound. The fireball was visible in daylight (at 5:48 pm local time - I looked at my watch). |
