Remarks | I reported this by email to one of the Cleveland news stations, but never heard anything more about others seeing it. I've seen a lot of smaller meteors, but the electrical-like crackling sound in the air that proceeded the viewing was new for me, as well as the loud crack of a lightning strike. My dogs also picked up on the crackling static-like sound in the air. They appeared startled and looked up at the sky. |

Terminal flash | |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | The tail base tripled in girth and became more red, and then exploded and dissipated. It did this before it reached the far southeast end of the horizon, clearly seen above the trees. It seemed to travel from slightly NW to SE below the cloud table, not obscured. I believe there may have been a smoke trail, but I was more focused on the explosion. |

Remarks | I'm not sure....it appeared that the ball had small arms spinning out in different directions....similar to a firework, but closer: not as dramatic |
