Reports Report 581ac (Event 581-2017)

Observer
Name Jason K
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks This was observed in NYC, but the skies were clear, and we could visually make out the Pleiades, and Orion's sword. Towards the fireball, roughly northwest, Polaris was visible in the sky. The Moon had not yet risen, and the later clouds had not yet appeared, so it was a clear night. I can be confident of the colors because i could distinguish Betelguese, Aldebaran's colors.

Remarks the fireball got wider as it went towards the horizon. I couldn't see the individual bits, but since it was getting wider as it went, that meant it was breaking up.
