This bright object really caught my attention. The bright green light was moving very fast. I listened for about 30 seconds expecting to hear an explosion but never did. The Blue Ridge Mountains to the north blocked my view in the direction where it was, otherwise I probably would have witnessed a somewhat longer path lower on the horizon. I recorded the time as 20:40 but it could have been 20:39. I noted the time on my cell phone a minute or two after I saw it.
