It lasted long enough to shout my friends name twice before he could take his eye away from a telescope to look at what i had seem. My friend saw the second streak following the second flash of light. We were both stargazing on a farm.

Remarks
At first there was a flash then a Large Shooting star which dimmed and then flashed again just a continuous line through sky which then dissipated, it was a brilliant blue flash. I can only describe it as similar in colour to Rigel with the naked eye
