Remarks The most amazing yet terrifying thing I have ever witnessed in my life! I was looking up at the Summer Triangle, the moon was full and off to my right, luckily being obstructed by my roof. My attention was on the star Danub, on the left side of the triangle. And suddenly from the direction of Altair came this bright blue, almost white, fireball! At first I thought the moon itself had burst into flames and was flying across the sky! I was literally in shock! It continued flying towards my left across the backdrop of the Summer Triangle constellation. Unlike a falling star, the "tail" did not disappear right away. If my memory is correct I want to say the tail lasted as long as the fireball itself! A most beautiful amazing blue that I've never even seen before. The fireball continued just a little further left of the star Danub angled slightly upwards from my observation. I was startled out of my shock when the fireball did a little hiccup then flare and then the lights went out! It took me about a minute to compose myself and mentally digest what I had just seen! I texted my husband, and while texting him about 3 minutes later I heard a boom! I had no idea if it was related to the fireball, but I even relayed it to my husband, whatever that was was huge and if it didn't burn up completely it must've landed somewhere! Absolutely amazing! From the info I've gathered on this website these sightings appear to be very rare once in a lifetime opportunities! I feel very blessed to have witnessed such an amazing thing!
