Remarks | I tried to provide accurate ideas of the fireball path, but maybe a supplemental sentence will help. I was lying on my back in a tent with my eyes closed, and noticed something bright through my eyelids. The meteor/fireball was pretty much directly overhead, and I traced it for a few seconds as it went ENE (I compared it to the north star, and estimated that I last saw it 10 degrees east of N). I was wearing a watch at the time so I am confident of the sighting time. |
