Remarks I know it sounds ridiculous to have a meteor show up at a fireworks show but it did. It was at the Huntington Beach 4th of July fireworks show and we had a prime seat on the beach. Everyone around stopped and said the same thing. "That's not a firework." "Wow it's a meteorite!" "That's insane we got a shooting star in the middle of the show!" - It was more at the tail end. It came from the sky and it moved fast. The streak lasted a few seconds but it was light blue/green and it appeared overhead and streaked towards the ocean. Way above the fireworks display. We all stopped to look away from the fireworks show to look at it streak across the sky. Space gave us its own firework show at the exact same time. :)

Remarks Though it was during a fireworks show everyone said the same thing. That's not a firework. It came from the sky and it moved fast but because it was so high up it seemed to last a few seconds. We all stopped looking away from the fireworks show to look at it streak. Space gave us its own light show at the exact same time. :) At the end of the streak it gave off a flash but it was more from fragmentation. Just 2 pieces..
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks Fragmentation wasn't until the very end and split into 2 pieces. One kept the same trajectory and the other shot down off of it but it faded out right after that.
