Remarks | We initially assumed the object was a crashing plane, as to the eye it appeared to be very close and falling vertically directly above Boise, which was obscured by the large hill bordering the Boise River. The meteor was obscured by hill, probably at about 30deg to horizon, before its behavior at horizon could be observed. Naively, we assume the object had fallen near Boise due to its large apparent size and slow apparent velocity. |
