Reports Report 3068bx (Event 3068-2017)

Observer
Name Marcia S
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Because of nearby fires burning about 40 miles west of us, I actually thought this was a fireball flying on the wind! Then I thought it was some kind of firecracker and waited for an explosive sound. We are very remote here, no neighbours for at least 3 miles so I was very nervous that this was some kind of intent to start a fire. I alerted my husband who was asleep and we ran outside to see if there was a fire anywhere. It was only after a minute or so that I realized it might have been a comet or meteor.
