Reports Report 3068iz (Event 3068-2017)

Observer
Name Greg A
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks At first I thought the flash I saw was bright sheet lightening. Then I saw the trail that looked like the remnants of a flair or a very bright shooting star, or perhaps the remnants of fireworks. Our valley was heavy with forest fire smoke and I think that is why the flash and remnant appeared orange.

Remarks The glowing raced across the sky like a very bright shooting star. I saw it burn out before it left my line of sight.

Remarks An initial flash out my bedroom window caught my eye. I looked at the window in time to see the whole sky (at least as much as I could see) light up in a huge flash. After the the flash I saw the shooting star-like trail.

Remarks See terminalflash description above.
