| Remarks | This was a very fleeting glimpse. The meteor (I assume it was a meteor) traversed a gap in the clouds from east to west, travelling very fast across the sky, seemingly horizontally. It was either much larger or much lower than most meteors I have seen, and certainly much brighter than Venus. It seemed to have a glowing white trail (not smoke), but this may have been from persistence of vision. |
