Remarks | It looked like the meteor landed very close to Mt. Lassen volcano. It was very low to the ground, we driving on a rural highway (highway 89) and it startled us because it seemed to be so close. The trees are at least 50-60 feet tall along that stretch of highway, so we lost sight of it pretty quickly. I have watched meteor showers in the past, but this was very different then a standard meteor shower in Northeastern Calif. |
