Remarks | I first saw the glow over the south east sky, approximately over Houston Texas.. It may have been there some time before I saw it. I first thought it was a plane in the distance but then noticed it has a bright orange fiery glow that was shimmering and appeared to grow larger as it streaked from south to north.. almost in level flight, at about the same speed an aircraft would streak across the sky. It got brighter until it was about due east of me then started to get dimmer as it approached the northern sky. It finally burned out at about 20° north from me. The event lasted approx 20-30 seconds. |
