| Remarks | in all of my 51 years on this planet i have never seen anything like this before , it was amazing , my first impression was that it was a meteor and then i was considering a firey plane crash due to the area above it is a flight line for local air traffic , channel 13 news was also notified as to this incident , lynchburg , va., hopefully there were no damages to anything just one hell of a light show . thank you ; philip samuels |

| Remarks | i observed a bright redish orange fireball 1/5 the size of a full moon come straight down and disapear behind a distant tree line in front of my home , it had a bright redish orange trail of pure fire behind it that was at least a 1/2 mile long , it had to strike the ground somewhere in the vicinity of lunenburg county rd.or beyond in keysville , va. 23947 , at first it was a ball of fire at at least 2 miles up and the tail formed at at least a mile above the horizon , this all happened within 2 to 5 seconds , local state and county police responded and took a verbal report at 8:30 pm on 9/8/11 , and where given all this info. in case of a strike , fires , etc. |
