| Remarks | My 10 year-old son and I filled in this report. He saw the fireball first and alerted me. After we passed a tall pine tree, I was able to see what he was looking at. Neither of us have ever seen something like it. When we came home, my son got on YouTube and began searching for something that looked similar to what we saw. We both agreed that it looked most like the Peekskill Bollide fireball that went across the sky. The YouTube video said a fragment of the fireball hit a car in New York. We have very limited knowledge of astronomy. My son has used telescopes in Cub Scouts and knows about some of the constellations. What we saw was amazing. I\'m so glad he was looking up! |
