Remarks | My girlfriend saw it while we were out in our hot tub, it was a clear cool night for the first time in a few stormy weeks. We saw some small meteors the twenty minutes leading up to this mother of all shooting stats. My back was turned to this particular meteor but My girlfriend saw it and shouted it out excitedly, after about one second I turned around and saw what started as a small trail of light which lit up into flames and eventually exploded after a steady buildup of flame and fire... The sun had just set an hour or so before and was reflecting off of the moon very brightly, the light of the meteor was extremely bright, but very far away I would imagine because it didn't travel far in our view and there was no noise. |
