Remarks The light was really bright but there is a lot of smoke and pollution in the air in my area due to wildfires on Mt. Hood so the light looked kind of filtered/fuzzy because the air was so hazy. Due to being on the water at such a steep angle it was really hard to accurately pinpoint where the light ended on the horizon. I have seen meteor showers in the mountains before or the typical falling star and they always seemed faraway and small. This light was really large and seemed to be very close. I\'ve never seen anything like it before. I would compare it to being the size of a commercial airliner as far as how big it lloked and perceived proximity. It was really eery that it was not accompanied by any sort of sound. The airport is near where I sighted the light. The planes actually are so loud during take off that you can\'t hear anything else. So it was eery to see such a bright light moving so quickly through the sky but not hear anything.

Remarks It was actually really quiet. I was at a restaurant that was closing. I was with a companion and there was another couple seated behind us. There was no music and no other patrons. It was really quiet with just small talk at our tables. I saw the fireball but not my companion who was faced in the other direction. It was the same with the couple behind me with only the male seeing the fireball as he was seated in the same direction as myself. We both saw the fireball. We spoke about it afterwards. Both of us noted that we felt odd that there was the abscence of any sort of sound to accompany the sighting.
