| Remarks | I would be interested to know if anyone else observed this phenomenon. Until tonight, I have never seen anything other than a shooting star. I had never heard of a fireball. If it weren't for all the online talk of "Elenin" recently, I would not have thought much about this sighting. But it was so many times larger, brighter, and obviously closer than any shooting star. I'd love to know more about it! |

| Remarks | There was a clear tail, which appeared with the fireball, and followed it, and was identical in color and was nearly as bright as the fireball itself, but did not persist after the fireball had passed out of view over the western mountain (mountain approx. 1800m height). |
