Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks We (two of us) saw what appeared to be a bright terminal flash which lit up much of the sky in the manner that a bright moon or not so distant lightning would. We did not see the presumed meteor before the flash drew our attention to the northern sky, and are including this report mainly in the hope that it will supplement a more complete and useful observation from someone else. The sky was clear. A check of the weather radar showed no thunderstorms to the north.
