Reports Report 4574m (Event 4574-2017)

Observer
Name Mellanie L
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I really wish I had known about reporting it at the time it happened. It was during the holiday week and things were a bit crazy. But I can say my time may be off only by minutes because I had just looked at my cell when I had stepped outside. So somewhere around 9:30. And I didn't have to look up high, it seemed to be right at eye gazing level. It was JUST THERE. The one thing I remember the most was how BIG the ball was and how long and bright the tail was. Like every 'drawing' Id ever seen of a comet. It was surreal. I wasn't sure if I had imagined it actually. Sadly, I haven't ever really seen a shooting star so at first this is what I thought it was, but it just seemed HUGE to be a star and defiantly NOT an aircraft. For my 1st experience in seeing anything like this, it was WAY cooler than I could have imagined! Absolutely, beautiful.
