| Remarks | It appeared in an area where airplanes (small/personal planes) are usually seen flying low as they are preparing to land at the downtown greenville airport (which is only a few miles away). I thought it was a plane nose diving at first, then possibly a satellite, but realized the light was too big, bright, white, and close to be either. It was large, white, and round moving from right to left for the first 3 seconds. Then a tail/train appeared from the back right as it went down with yellow/orange/red flames for another 3+ seconds. There appeared to be a smoke trail after it disappeared, but I couldn\'t tell for sure if it was a trail or cloud in the night sky. |
