| Remarks | I was in my car, which is why I only saw the fireball very briefly and only from where my windshield field of view begins. It was spectacular. Not super huge, but felt way closer and way bigger than any shooting star I've ever seen. It seemed to "fizzle out" just above the tree line. I initially thought it was a stray firework of some variety but there had been no fireworks in the sky. I was in the process of driving in that direction for the previous 20 minutes coming from Clearwater. I'm guessing at the time based on a phone call to my husband. It was somewhere between 18:05 and 18:30 I would say. I can't be completely certain on the time. |
