Remarks | Best and brightest I've ever seen in my 50+ years of sky watching. Also weirdest trajectory. Appeared to be shooting ( more like falling ) straight down while driving & looking east over Lucas,KS. Very slow & long lasting, then just fell apart. Much like a Persied when dying out, but much bigger & brighter than any Persiad I've ever seen. I've lived in Western Kansas approximately 35 years. Never saw one like it before. I'd say it would have shown up in daylight, maybe half to 3/4 brightness of Russian Fireball. |

Terminal flash | |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Initial flash. Slow falling white fireball. Terminal flash and fragmentation with brief glowing white trail. One of the best I've seen. I would say if I had stopped I may have been able to hear it. |

Observation | Yes |
Remarks | Bright white flash and disintrigrating ball falling apart like ashes from the end of a cigarette. Brief white glowing train with lesser flare up of approximately 1-2 seconds. |
