Remarks | The meteor was very, very bright and was a distinct bright emerald green. I have been an amateur astronomer for about 40 years and have never seen anything like this. I collect nightly data on the skies, the seeing and weather conditions. I also take observations of the moonlight, the level of haze and anything of note. The sky at this particular time was clear, the seeing was good and there was no moonlight. I live a very short distance from the North Sea and the object in question was NNW on my compass. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. |
