Remarks | I was sitting inside watching TV, Glanced up and out the back window (facing approx. NE), and just caught sight of it falling straight down. It fell out of site behind the tall pines in our back field. It was only a couple of seconds. Not time to grab my camera. I've often observed shooting/falling stars in our sky but had never seen anything this color or brightness or size. We live in an isolated part of town about 1200 feet only one close neighbor to our SW, Our daughter's home. All my answers are guesstimates. It happened very quickly but was fun to see! Wish I had been outside and sen it sooner. Maybe next time. Our house in in a "bowl" with a field to the back and front but then hills rise to the SW, W ,N and NE The hills are all wooded. |
