Reports Report 5531a (Event 5531-2017)

Observer
Name Robin F
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks We were driving north on 101 in Oregon and saw a bright white light in the sky straight ahead of us at about 50 degrees. It came from slightly east of us and then we could see that it looked like an extra bright and large shooting star as it traveled at a 30 degree drop north west of us. It turned green where the long tail started and then became obscured by tall trees as it left our sight. It lasted about 4-5 seconds. Much longer than a regular “shooting star”. Never saw anything like this before!
