Reports Report 43cn (Event 43-2018)

Observer
Name Sam B
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I did not see a direct sighting of the fireball, it was above my line of sight. The light was very bright, very similar to a very close lightning strike (within 1.0 km), and a bright green colour. I was in my bedroom, facing due north and described the angles in the sighting info., in relation to the shadows which were cast from Spruce trees in my front yard. As far as duration, there was one bright light lasting about a second (illuminating all of the snow, and everything outside at ground level), a brief pause of about half a second, and then a second brilliant light which lasted just under a second, and was about 70-80 Percent as bright as the first flash. After the bright light, I went outside and heard a concussive, rumbling sound about 3 minutes after the flashes of green light. The sound lasted about a second and a half and appeared to be coming from straight south. The sound was similar to that of a dynamite explosion, but at a distance.
