Remarks There was a trail ... I thought it might be a jet going down ... it is partly cloudy tonight and it may have only appeared when it broke through the clouds. It was really bright and before disappearing appeared to split into two parts. I checked on the NASA website to see if there was any information about meteors tonight which directed me to this website. Never reported anything before and I am a high school AP Science teacher. I was driving home from a Christmas parade and it was really bright!
Terminal flash
Observation No
Remarks Just before losing it on the horizon split into two ... both moved parallel to each other until it disappeared.
Fragmentation
