Reports Report 168aic (Event 168-2018)

Observer
Name Rebecca V
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks The sound and shaking reminded me of an earthquake Detroit experienced in the 80's. I was at work and the noise was similar, I thought a vehicle had hit the building and the coffee in the coffee pot sloshed back and forth.

Concurrent Sound
Observation Yes
Remarks Rumbling like the motor of a big snowblower or snow mobile or vehicle, sort of grinding sound. The windows and house shook, the window was lit up like it covered the whole sky, our dog woke up out of a sound sleep and looked frightened, I thought something had hit the house.
Delayed Sound
Observation Yes
Remarks I thought some sort of vehicle came up between the houses, hit our house and then stopped so it was long enough for me to think a motor was running. My husband was laying down in the next room and said the bed shook. He did not hear anything because he didn't have his hearing aid in. I ran to the front door which faced East and was surprised to see everything dark, calm, and undisturbed. It was a couple hours later that I saw the meteor report when I was checking the weather. It happened at the exact same time the sky lit up and the house and furniture shook.
