also I did not look at the time so could be off by several minutes.

The glow lasted 2 maybe 3 seconds, brighter than anything seen before. It started easteastsouth at about 25 to 30 degrees and went out at due east or almost due east at 20 to 25 degrees. It broke into both parts being about equal in brilliance. I do not recall for sure but the shorter was the top and may have been about 60 % of the longer. They went out at about the same time.
