The sun was not yet down, and it's the first time I've ever seen an object/shooting star/fireball while in daylight. Very odd feeling!

The bright light seemed to grow larger and brighter for a split second which I imagine was when it hit the atmosphere? and then it was gone. I was driving and had slowed for a light, but my eyes couldn't linger on the sky.
