it seemed quite low in the night sky, but that may have just been because we are on a high felt piece of ground but the ball appeared to terminat above the valley to the north between me and the next high ground at the disused airfield.

the ball terminated in my direct vision & fragmented in to several large glowing balls with the main part of the object dissipating leaving a faint smokey residue in the dark sky.
