Remarks | Large diameter, est about 10x size of Venus and just as bright. If I plucked it out of sky and held it -at least 8-10”. Based on size, ruled out meteor shower or falling star. Distance was lower than a Boeing 747 at max altitude, more like Blackhawk test height, fell to an altitude of a news or coast guard helicopter. Trajectory path started over log island sound and appeared to end at housatonic river in Devon-Stratford ct area. I live by Sikorsky airport and observe multiple air training daily, my analogy is best based on this assumption. Awesome sight WOW! Go UCONN ;) it was like like a basketball in the sky. |
