Remarks | I was sleepless and sitting on my back deck admiring the dark but moon-lit sky, facing NNW. At 12:30 AM, the object appeared suddenly out of nowhere at around 45 degrees, which is very much a guess. It plunged straight down toward my neighbor's house (address: 12334 Indian Trail Road, Los Gatos, CA), which is just below the mountain ridge. (It looked so close I was almost afraid it would hit the house.) In about a second, the object disappeared behind the ridge DIRECTLY behind 12334 Indian Trail. It was the brightest "meteor" I've ever seen and almost the largest. It was mostly white but had definite red in it. I checked on line for any reportings but found none to match mine. Other reportings suggested it could be space junk, not a meteor. |
