Remarks I was northbound on I-405 between I-90 and SE 8th St. in Bellevue about 2045 when I noticed a bright teal ball of light traveling at a ridiculous speed from the slight northeast towards the freeway on what seemed to be a relatively flat trajectory. It didn't arc or behave like a flare, it wasn't fireworks, it was too fast to be a drone or aircraft. It was just a brilliant ball of light in an unusual color. The altitude was low enough that I initially thought it was human-caused. Then I thought, "shooting star?" It was very bright, especially for not being dark outside yet, but blinked out before it reached the freeway. In analyzing this with others, the best comparison I can find is meteor videos online. It burned fairly steadily without any major flare ups and then just seemed to burn out. Its speed and movement were like a meteor, not something man made. The odd part was that it seemed to fly more level than at an angle. So it seemed low and not going from a higher altitude to a lower altitude, but maybe that was just my viewing angle from the freeway. I've seen many meteors in years past but they were much higher up and didn't burn as long. This probably didn't burn longer than 10 seconds but whatever this low-flying blazing teal ball was it was very similar to a meteor. I'm interested to find out if anyone else reported it.
