Reports Report 2246ai (Event 2246-2018)

Observer
Name Albert W
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks Time is approximate, based on visibility of stars - I had been staring at the sky, waiting for stars to appear. Arcturus was visible but no lesser brightness stars were visible in that direction. Trees limited my view of the sky, Visible sky was from approximately ESE to SW. Peak of my roof was directly south of my viewpoint and at slightly more than 45 degree altitude. Arcturus was almost directly south of me and slightly above the midpoint of the visible trace of the fireball. Added remark - The time of sighting I described is approximate. I didn't make notes at the time, did not realize that there was an organization that could use my data. BUT - I hope someone can take my description of the sky and determine the true time well enough to correlate with other reports. At the time of the fireball Arcturus was clearly visible but no less bright stars could be seen in the part of the sky where the fireball was seen. My view was limited by trees, Possibly Vega or Deneb could have been visible but they would have been hidden by trees from my position. I would very much like to learn of other observations of this event!
