This is the craziest thing my stepdad and I have ever seen in the sky. Ever. Between the two of us we have almost 30 years of Air Force experience. My stepdad is an avionics engineer with hundreds of thousands of flight hours and still works with aircraft to this day. He is very familiar with what he sees in the sky. But this is something we’ve never experienced.

Remarks
It was a vibrant glowing train!! It was bright red coming off of the fireball and it changed to bright blue in the middle and then back to red!! Very long tail, EXTREMELY BRIGHT. My stepdad and I were traveling west on I-10 in Florida and we thought we watched a UFO crashing through the atmosphere. We both are Air Force Veterans and have never seen anything like this before. I did a quick search online and realized it could be a fireball and decided to submit my information to you folks. Please contact me with any questions!
Terminal flash
Observation
Yes
Remarks
Before I knew “fireballs” existed, I thought a spacecraft exploded into our atmosphere. It was a giant explosion and scared the hell out of us.
Fragmentation
Observation
Unknown
Remarks
The majority of it was a bright emerald green, but there were little blue sparks emanating from it as well. Could be fragmenting pieces?
