Reports Report 3089z (Event 3089-2018)

Observer
Name Seth K
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks It was amazing to have a once in a lifetime experience. I never thought I would see something like that in person, especially standing in my own back yard. Due to the time it occurred I'm not sure if many other people saw it if any, but I wish I had some way to know its size and destination!

Delayed Sound
Observation Yes
Remarks After the flash went away it sounded more like a firework in the distance than a boom.
Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 8s
Length 15°
Remarks It looked like a fire trail. There were what looked like some sparks and possibly some smoke, but I'm not sure about the smoke. Bright white and yellow in color possibly some orange. The trail started then half way through it fell apart or exploded and the trail went away.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks It lit the night sky up like it was day time for a couple of seconds. Very bright!!
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks When the object flashed it looked like 2 to 3 pieces broke apart then it kind of seemed to desintegrate into smaller pieces. All within a few seconds.
