| Remarks | I was actually facing north working on my computer when I saw it with my peripheral vision about 90 degrees from where I was looking. I had to turn to see it. The trail appeared to be wavy (as opposed to straight), but I suspect that may be because of viewing it with my peripheral vision. I also can't be sure about the brightness since I saw it mainly peripherally. It looked like a green flare or firework, so I posted a message on my neighborhood facebook group to see if anyone saw it. The first response I got was from someone 8-9 miles away also looking east, so I concluded it was not a firework or a flare but a meteor. I guess this informs on brightness. It was about as bright as a local firework would be. |
