| Remarks | This fireball was unlike anything I've seen before. It was extremely bright and the trail was about 1/4 of the sky, the area of sky that I was able to view. It went over my house and behind a tree that was close to me, not on the horizon. I actually ran to the other side of the tree to see it and only then did it 'burn out'. I was standing with my boyfriend and father and yelled for them to look and usually by that time a shooting star is already gone and everyone misses it. But not this time, we all stood there in awe for roughly 5 seconds. We couldn't believe how long it lasted, the brightness, the orange color, and the trail of it. Unbelieveable. |
