| Remarks | The timing was perfect to see this short event. My son & I had just walked out of the east entrance to Target & it appeared, traveling right to left- sort of SSE to NNW &, made a nice bright light & small yellow tail for a short bit before breaking up as described earlier. Total time 6-7 seconds. I posted that I saw it on Instagram (brianwithaneye1) & someone in central Illinois said they saw it as well, going SW to NE. It was quite a sight, even with the parking lot lights, etc. I am wondering if any of it fell anywhere in the US.. And the size.. I know it doesn't take a huge object to make a light show in the sky as something passes into the atmosphere. Cheers! |

| Terminal flash | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Toward the end of the streak, it flashed as it broke into two distinct pieces & I believe- a few small fragments that pretty much disappeared immediately. Then it all was over 6-7 second event. When it caught my eye I thought it was a drone really booking it across the sky at (guessing) a good 45-50mph. This is obviously not the case, lol. This is the brightest falling star / meteor / fireball I have ever witnessed. |
| Fragmentation | |

| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | When it broke into the two pieces, the "bottom" one did seem to jut off at about a 45 degree angle "down".. The color before the breakup was a bright green with yellow-like a welder around it a bit. There was no smoke trail that I could see. I was reaching for my phone as it all went away. |
