I am a star and planet gazer, and enjoy the peaceful night sky occasionally. This is only my second observation of a meteor / fire ball.

Remarks
Just a Brilliant bright glow burst in my view as I first noticed the meteor/fire ball; which was brighter and stronger for a split second then became more colorful and more defined in shaped more rounded in front but more angular at the rear with a long tail trailing behind it. It faded out of sight in the horizon.
