Remarks I wa driving in my car. My windows were up and the sighting was near one half of a mile away from where I was on the Interstate I-10 driving east bound (but actual traveling direction was north). I was coming from the twin spam over Lake Pontchartrain to St. Tammany Parish, Slidell, Louisiana. I heard nothing from outside the car.
Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 5s
Length 10°
Remarks At 5 seconds the blue-green ball of fire was sited seemingly to be as large as a car, The Siting location was near one half of a mile from my location. The train began as it was sited, at that location then trailed the ball till it disapeared just above the ground. It traveled near an angle away from my viewing angle towards the ground approximately 15 degrees downward ( away from my view traveling towards the left near the same angle downward)
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks The flash was quick like a meteriote with a train trailing it to the location it disapeared near the ground but before the ground aproxiamtely 100 feet. It started as a burst of a brilliant blue-green object a large as a car and lasted for several hundred yards towards the earth.
